Cardi B Reacts To Being No. 1 With Teary Eyes, Runny Mascara In Sweet Video

Today (Sept. 25) is a date that Cardi B will never forget! The rapper's "Bodak Yellow" single officially dethroned Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do" and became the number one song in the country.

Fans of Bardi have been streaming her hit nonstop in an effort to help the Bronx recording artist reach her goal. After weeks of replaying "Bodak Yellow," the song is finally at the top of the charts. In honor of the momentous occasion, the former Love & Hip Hop star turned rapper reacted to the big news on social media.

In a video clip that she uploaded to Instagram, it looks like Cardi was crying from the way that her eye makeup looks. She was in an airport when she posted it. The clip was captioned: "THANK YOU THANK THANK YOU, I haven’t even showered son with all the running around😩😩😩😩 I loveee you all each and everybody contributed for this. Ya made it happen for me !!!!! The number 1 WAY!!"

Cardi said in the video with the most sincere face: "This has been a very motherf**king emotional day for me, son. And I just want to say thank you everybody, thank you for making this happen. Thank you to my #BardiGang... friends, family... all these artists that have been showing me love... I can't."

Cardi's "Bodak Yellow" is the first No. 1 for a female rapper on the Billboard Hot 100 charts since Lauryn Hill's "Doo Wop (That Thing)" in Nov. 1998. On top of that, Cardi is the first soloist to top the chart without a feature since Meghan Trainor's "All About That Bass" in 2014, and the fifth female rapper overall to reach the milestone.

In other words, she's poppin'.
